Police arrest notorious IPOB/ESN suspect in Enugu

The Enugu State Police Command has arrested a suspected member of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its armed wing, the Eastern Security Network (ESN).

The suspect, identified as Onoh Chidera, was apprehended on Saturday following credible intelligence.

According to security sources, operatives of the Anti-Kidnapping Squad trailed and arrested him at a black spot in the 9th Mile Corner, Ngwo.

“The suspect is among those fingered in the attack on Ezeagu Police Station earlier in the year, during which arms and ammunition were carted away,” one of the sources disclosed.

The sources further said discreet investigations have commenced to uncover his network and apprehend other collaborators.
