Police arrest suspect who murder his friend, took Tipper truck away

Kwara state police command has arrested one Jamiu Sulaiman who mudered his friend in Lagos and took away his tipper truck away.

The state Commissioner of police Mr Kayode Egetokun who spoke with newsmen in Ilorin said the suspect murdered his colleague in Lagos and took his tipper truck and ran down to Ilorin for cover ” he has been apprehended his arm was recovered from him, the arm he used in commiting that crime has been recovered he will be transferred to Lagos where he committed the offence this morning” he said

Meanwhile Jamiu confessed to Journalists that he called his friend, who was popularly known as Daddy Oyin, through phone a night before the incident and told him that he has work for him the following day around Ikorodu area, he has to get to the venue of the work on before 4am in the following morning, as he he got him killed with gun.

“I called him, Baba Oyin, a night before the incident and told him that I have a work for him around Ikorodu the following morning and he has to be at the place of the assignment around 4am, in which he agreed”

“On getting to the venue of the assignment, I told him to park his truck and come down for us to wait for the person that would take us to the place of work proper. Immediately he turn his back to me, while closing the door of the truck, I shot at him and he fell down, after some minute, I confirmed that he had stopped breathing, I just parked his corpse inside a bush around that place and drove away his tipper”

While, responding to questions from journalists on how he got the gun used, Jamiu said “I bought the gun from one of the cult boy lives in Ikorodu at the sum of 70 people thousands Naira”

Jamiu, who claimed to be an indigene of Ilorin, says he killed his colleague in order for him to take possession of his truck, and unfortunately he was arrested by police in Ilorin where he brought the truck to be using for commercial purpose.

Also paraded by the Commissioner of Police, Mr Kayode Egbetokun were some hoodlums, numbered around 16, who allegedly matching police officers on duty over land matter around Egbejila, in Ilorin West local government area of the state and one suspected kidnapper, Alhaji Adamou Bawa, who police alleged to ran to Kwara after committed the offence in Kastina state.

While responding to questions from Journalists, Adamou who claimed to be an indigene of Kastina state denied ever being a kidnapper.

According to him “my parents had since relocated from Katsina to kwara state, I was arrested in Tsaragi village on that day, (Kwara North senatorial area) when buying food items to take home for my family”

He, however, urged the police authority to closely check the facts of his case and ensure Justice is done, because he has aged parent to cater for at home.

On why the suspects have chosen Ilorin Kwara state as cover after committing crime elsewhere the police boss said “it is not only in Kwara state that you see suspect runing down for cover even those who commit offence here in Kwara would run down to other states for cover so it cuts accross all the states as we arrest suspects that are running down here for cover so other command too are arresting suspects who ran down to their command for cover.

Mr Egetokun maintained that all the suspects would be charge to court for prosecution as soon as investigations are completed.
