Police arrest three suspected Eiye cult members in Ogun

Three individuals suspected of belonging to the Eiye Confraternity have been apprehended by the Ogun State Police Command in the Joju area of Sango/Ota. The arrests were made based on credible information provided by an anonymous source.

The operation was led by CSP Saleh Dahiru, the Divisional Police Officer of Sango Ota, along with his anti-robbery team, who swiftly responded to the tip-off and converged on School 3 in Joju, Sango Ota.

According to a statement from the Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, the apprehended suspects have been identified as Dakwo Micheal Jackson, Joel Obieva, and Oluwaseun Bamideke. The suspects were apprehended while allegedly planning their illicit activities on the mentioned street.

During questioning, the detainees admitted to being part of a larger Eiye Confraternity gang, consisting of five members, with their leader still on the run.

Odutola emphasized that the individuals intended to convene at the school to carry out their planned operation but were thwarted by the swift response of the Sango police, preventing them from executing their unlawful plans.

Efforts are currently underway to track down the remaining suspects who managed to flee the scene.
