Police arrest two suspected armed robbers in Lagos
The Lagos State Police Command has arrested two suspects for alleged robbery in the Amukoko area of the state.
Police Public Relations Officer CSP Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed the arrest on Sunday, stating that the suspects were apprehended based on intelligence reports.
“On March 12, at about 4:00 p.m., the police received information that a group of hoodlums regularly robbed passersby along Alaba-Oro, Amukoko, before retreating to their hideout.
“Acting on this tip-off, officers launched surveillance and successfully tracked their hideout in the Olufiditi area of Amukoko,” Hundeyin said.
The suspects, aged 19 and 28, were arrested, and recovered items included a cutlass, a small bag containing substances suspected to be Indian hemp, and some hard drugs.
He added that an investigation is ongoing, and the case will soon be charged to court.
