Police disperse protesting IMN members in Abuja
Police officers in Abuja on Thursday dispersed protesting members of the proscribed Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN).
The protesting members took to the streets at Wuse, Berger axis of Abuja to commemorate death of their members during the incident in Zaria between them and the Chief of Army Staff.
The protest, which kicked off from Wuse Market, was disrupted at Berger bus-stop when the police officers dispersed the crowd.
The demonstrators retaliated in anger and pelted the policemen with stones.
Commercial activities have since been grounded around the area as people scurried for safety.
