The Lagos State Police Command has refuted claims suggesting that Afro singer Ibrahim Owodunni, popularly known as Primeboy, was re-apprehended in connection with the passing of his colleague, Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad.
Initial reports surfaced indicating Primeboy’s re-arrest on Tuesday during his visit to the State Criminal Investigation Department at Panti, Yaba. Primeboy, who was previously apprehended amidst the controversy surrounding Mohbad’s demise a few months ago, has been consistently attending SCID sessions every week throughout the investigation.
A viral report on Tuesday alleged his re-arrest and subsequent detainment by the Lagos police command during his visit. However, Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, dismissed these claims as unfounded when contacted on Wednesday.
SP Hundeyin clarified to DAILY POST that Primeboy was permitted to return home on Tuesday with instructions to report back on Wednesday, emphasizing, “False. He was allowed to go home and report back today,” during a conversation with our correspondent.
