Police kill four suspected kidnappers in Abia

Police in Abia State have killed four suspected members of a kidnap gang in Aba, the commercial nerve of the state.

The hoodlums, who had their operational base at Osisioma local government area, operated between Abia and Rivers states.

The suspects were reportedly killed in their hideout in a shootout with police.
Sources at the police Command said the operatives stormed the kidnappers’ den after credible intelligence.
Police said the hideout is in Oyibo; a border town between Abia and Rivers.
It was learnt that the team rescued two female kidnapped victims awaiting their family members to pay their ransom.

AK-47 rifles, pump action guns, different vehicle plate numbers, and two vehicles were recovered.
