The current Police Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO) Frank Mba is set to step down from his position, according to reports.
It was leant his current re-deployment is a standard procedure carried out at the discretion of the Inspector General of Police when police officers are promoted.
Last December, the PPRO was elevated from DCP to Commissioner (CP) by then Inspector General of the Police Force, Mr. Mohammed Adamu.
Mba, who is on international course with other top officers of the Force, including Abdulrasheed Bawa, Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), is expected to be re-deployed once he returns from the course.
“The Course is typically for senior officers, and once they complete it, they are automatically redeployed.” Mba on his part is long overdue since his promotion to the rank Commissioner,” a source told ENigeria.
He added that while Mba strategically lobbied to be assigned to Lagos, his request was declined by the Police Authority due to his history with the city.
