Law enforcement in Delta State has apprehended 67 individuals suspected of engaging in same-sex activities within the Ekpan locality. Bright Edafe, the Public Relations Officer of the Delta State Police Command, shared this information via a tweet on Tuesday.
Edafe further posted images of the detained individuals on his X page, stating, “On 28/8/2023, the Delta State Police Command arrested 67 individuals suspected of engaging in same-sex activities at a hotel. The occasion was believed to be a suspected gay wedding ceremony between Daniel Pius ‘m’ (groom) and Maxwell Ohwonowho (bride) at Teebulus Hotel along Refinery Road, Ekpan. Today, I presented them to the public at Ekpan Police Station.”
