Policeman killed, van set ablaze as hoodlums attacks patrol team in Delta

A police officer has been killed in an attack in Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State.

A patrol van was also set ablaze in the attack, which occurred at Otulu Junction in Akwukwu-Igbo, headquarters of Aniocha North LGA.

Edafe Bright, Police Public Relations Officer in the state, confirmed the attack to Daily Trust, and said the some persons have been arrested.

Policemen have come under increased attacks in the Southern part of the country.
