Ikechukwu Nnadi, widely known as Andy Best in the Nollywood circles, has tragically passed away according to reports.
Nnadi, who had been battling a prolonged illness, breathed his last at a private clinic in Owerri, the capital city of Imo State, on Tuesday.
The sad news of the movie producer’s demise was confirmed by Mr. Seun Oloketuyi, the organizer of the Best of Nollywood awards, through an Instagram post where he announced Nnadi’s passing.
“Andy Best, a prominent figure in Nollywood as both a producer and marketer, has passed away. He departed today in an Owerri hospital,” Oloketuyi wrote.
Until his untimely demise, Nnadi served as the Chief Executive Officer of Andy Best Production, leaving behind a legacy of notable films such as “Lion of Africa,” “White Poison,” “My Father’s Cup,” among others.
Hailing from Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State, Nnadi’s remains have been laid to rest at the Aladinma Mortuary in Owerri.
