Portugal captain, Cristiano Ronaldo has saluted his teammates after they progressed to World Cup Round of 16 on Monday night.
Portugal booked a place in the second round after defeating Uruguay 2-0, thanks to Burno Fernandes’ brace.
Reacting after the game, Ronaldo said that Portugal are in the fight and their dreams are still alive after defeating Uruguay.
In a tweet via his Twitter handle, Ronaldo wrote: “We are in the round of 16 of the World Cup! Great job, team! Against an opponent of great merit, we asserted our strength and our quality.
“Let’s go! We are in the fight and our dream is still alive! Strength, Portugal!”
Portugal will now face South Korea in their final Group H tie on Friday.
