Private video of South African lawmaker, Zanele Sifuba breaks internet

A Nigerian has been accused of leaking a private video involving him and Zanele Sifuba, the Speaker of the ANC Free State legislature in South Africa.

The clips, which has since gone viral on social media, showed the South African speaker and the man believed a “Nigerian” could both be seen masturbating on camera.

It was alleged that the “Nigerian” man released the sex tape after he blackmailed “Zanele Sifuba” to pay him the sum of R300,000 and she refused to comply.

Reacting to the leaked tape in a swift statement, the Free State Legislature has ordered an investigation into the Speaker’s Noods scandal.

“The legislature will establish investigations into this gender-based violence. This is harassment and whoever spread the video must face the law. This is an insult to elderly women,” the statement reads.

The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) Provincial Secretary, Malefane Bosanku Msimanga has condemned the ‘insensitive’ circulation of Nood images and video of what appears to be those of the Speaker of Free State legislature.

The party called for the arrest of the person responsible for the sex tape leak, stressing this is not only happening to high-profile women, but to women and girls everywhere.

Msimanga in a statement noted that the sex tape leak undermines efforts and the fight against gender-based violence, misogyny, and femicide.
