Prof. Otaha: DG Benue Planning Commission, Budget Matters resigns appointment

Prof. Jacob Otaha, Director General, Benue State Planning Commission and Budget Matters has quit his appointment with the Benue State Government.

Although details about his resignation are still sketchy inside sources say the Professor of Economics had complained of “negligence” on the part of government prior to quitting.

The Uwokwu, Oju LGA – born don looks to return to classroom, according to the sources.

No official statement has been issued but indications were that the don might have been frustrated out of govt.

The resignation of Prof. Otaha would deplete Igede’s quota in Governor Samuel Ortom adminstration on the heels of the disenchantment among the Igede elite over their perceived marginalisation in the distribution of sociopolitical and economic opportunities in the state.

Phone calls placed to the professor for comments prove abortive.
