Prof Yemi Osinbajo launches ITET Program for Nigerian youths (How to apply)

Former Vice President Prof Yemi Osinbajo is extending a remarkable opportunity to Nigerian youths, drawing upon his extensive experience. He has introduced the Innovation to Transform Education Training (ITET) and is inviting young Nigerians to apply. Supported by UNESCO, this training initiative offers space for only 50 education innovators.

Prof Yemi Osinbajo officially initiated the application process for the Innovation to Transform Education Training (ITET) program. He shared this announcement through his verified X (formerly Twitter) account on Thursday, August 31, 2023.

Collaborative Effort with UNESCO IESALC

ITET is a collaborative venture between Future Perspectives, one of Osinbajo’s initiatives, and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization & International Institute for Higher Education in Latin America and the Caribbean (UNESCO IESALC).

Invitation to Aspiring Nigerian Youths

Prof Yemi Osinbajo extended an invitation to young Nigerians, stating: “We are thrilled to invite you to apply for our upcoming Innovation to Transform Education Training – ITET, scheduled to take place in Lagos, Nigeria, from November 20 to 24, 2023. The application deadline is September 20, so we encourage you to apply promptly and potentially secure one of the 50 spots for young Nigerian education innovators.”

The primary goal of this program, as articulated by the former vice president, is to equip young individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to drive positive transformations within the Nigerian and African education sectors. He emphasized, “This presents a significant responsibility and opportunity for all Nigerian youths, and we eagerly await your inspiration and dedication.”

Osinbajo also underscored the program’s commitment to diversity and inclusivity, stating, “We will select 50 exceptional individuals from various educational and social backgrounds who demonstrate a strong passion for EdTech and a commitment to shaping a brighter future for our communities.
