Education:
Fela was born to academic parents, Layiwola and Adeline Durotoye, both esteemed professors at the University of Ibadan. His educational journey began at the Staff Children’s School and later Moremi High School. Fela pursued higher education at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, where he obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science with Economics and a master’s degree in Business Administration (M.B.A). He honed his leadership skills at the John F. Kennedy School of Government Executive Education program at Harvard University and the High Impact Leadership for a better society program at Yale University.
Career:
Fela Durotoye embarked on a successful career path, starting as a financial analyst at Ventures & Trusts Limited in 1992. Over the years, he held significant roles in various organizations, including being the head of the customer service department at Phillips Consulting Limited. In 2000, Fela established V.I.P Consulting Limited, which later transformed into Visible Impact Limited, focusing on customer and human management in Nigeria. A prominent speaker and facilitator, Fela conducts management and leadership retreats, both within Nigeria and abroad.
Mushin Makeover:
In December 2009, Fela spearheaded the “Mushin Makeover” urban renewal project, showcasing his commitment to community development. Collaborating with a team of volunteers and notable figures, they painted and rejuvenated 296 houses across 7 streets of Mushin in Lagos, benefiting the community and providing training opportunities for unemployed youth.
Politics:
Fela’s dedication to his nation led him to pursue political office. In the run-up to the 2019 Nigerian general election, he emerged as the presidential candidate for the Alliance for New Nigeria. Fela stands as a symbol of hope and progress, advocating for transparent electoral processes and collaborative initiatives for a better Nigeria.

Fela Durotoye is happily married to Tara Fela-Durotoye, a renowned Nigerian make-up artist, lawyer, and CEO of House of Tara. They share a beautiful family with three sons: Mobolurin, Demilade, and Morolaoluwa.
