Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim is a distinguished Nigerian figure known for her notable contributions to both the political landscape and the business world. Her multifaceted journey has seen her excel in various roles, leaving an indelible mark on Nigeria’s governance and society.

Early Life and Education: Raised in the vibrant city of Abuja, Nigeria, Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim’s educational journey began at Aruwa Nursery School and Jabi Primary School. She continued her studies at the Federal Government Girls College in Bwari, Abuja, where she nurtured her academic pursuits. Displaying exceptional dedication and determination, she graduated from the University of Abuja with a degree in sociology at the young age of 19. Her thirst for knowledge led her to pursue advanced education, earning dual master’s degrees—an MBA and an MA—from Webster University in the United Kingdom.

Career Trajectory: Sulaiman-Ibrahim’s career showcases her versatility and determination to succeed. She embarked on her professional journey at Abuja Geographic Information Systems (AGIS) before venturing to the United Kingdom, where she honed her skills in human resources, business, and management. Her expertise evolved, and she emerged as a certified SAP Human Capital Management (HCM) consultant.

Notably, Sulaiman-Ibrahim made a mark in the corporate world by joining Mary Kay, where she rose to the position of senior sales director. Her impressive track record caught the attention of governmental bodies, leading her to become a special adviser on strategic communication to the Minister of State for Education.

Her commitment to socio-economic development was recognized when she was appointed a member of the Nasarawa State Economic Advisory Council by the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, Engr. A. A. Sule.

Leadership and Impact: Sulaiman-Ibrahim’s significant leadership roles include her appointment as the Director-General of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP). During her tenure from December 2020 to May 2021, she steered the agency with a focused vision, addressing issues related to human trafficking and exploitation. Her six-month stewardship demonstrated her dedication to tackling pressing societal challenges.

Embracing new responsibilities, Sulaiman-Ibrahim was subsequently redeployed as the Honourable Federal Commissioner of the National Commission for Refugees, Migrants, and Internally Displaced Persons. This role further underscores her commitment to humanitarian causes and the well-being of vulnerable populations.
