Dr. Olusi is an alumnus of Hull University in the United Kingdom, where he pursued his undergraduate studies. He furthered his education by obtaining a master’s degree in International Money, Finance, and Investment, and completed a Doctorate in Finance and Economics from Durham University, also in the United Kingdom, in 2005.
Career:
With a career spanning over two decades, Dr. Olusi has made a name for himself as a prominent economist and development finance expert. His extensive experience led him to serve as a World Bank economist. Notably, between 2011 and 2015, he held the role of economic adviser to the Coordinating Minister of the Economy and Minister of Finance.
In his most recent role, President Bola Tinubu appointed Dr. Olusi as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Bank of Industry (BOI). This appointment reflects the President’s dedication to strengthening the leadership and strategic direction of BOI, an institution playing a crucial role in fostering economic development and industrialization in Nigeria. Dr. Olusi’s term is set for four years in this key position.
