France forward, Kylian Mbappe, has vowed his country will be back after their World Cup final defeat to Argentina.
The 23-year-old became the second player ever to score a hat-trick in a World Cup final but ended up on the losing side.
Mbappe scored twice within 90 seconds to force the match to extra time and he added a third from the penalty spot to take the game to a shootout.
He was aiming to become the first footballer since Pele to win back-to-back World Cups but the day ultimately belonged to his PSG team-mate Lionel Messi.
“We’ll be back,” Mbappe posted on Instagram, along with the France flag and the prayer emoji to his post.
Mbappe won the Golden Boot award in Qatar for his eight goals, ahead of Messi who had seven.
