Rashford named Premier League Player of the Month

Manchester United forward, Marcus Rashford has beaten competition from Nigerian Alex Iwobi, Kevin De Bruyne, Phillip Billing and others to win the Premier League Player of the Month for September.

Nigerian Midfielder, Alex Iwobi was nominated for this award after exhilarating performance for Everton this season.

However, Marcus Rashford two goals and two assist this month that helped Manchester United recover from the first two defeats at the start of the season was enough to knock his competitions off the award.

It was the first time the out of favour English striker will win the award since January 2019.

His recent performances is expected to propel him to make the England World Cup squad in November.
