Reactions as Benue State records first rainfall in 2022

Residents of Benue State on Friday evening expressed mixed feelings as the Food Basket state recorded its first downpour in 2022.

The light rain, which started at about 9:26 a.m to 10:am different parts of the state, was accompanied with wind.

IDOMA VOICE gathered that the rain, which was preceded by a mild breeze, arrived much earlier than last year when it came in March.

A resident, Ella, said the early rain was a welcome development and she is ready to go clear her farm for the season.

“Benue is blessed. first rain of the year,” she wrote on Facebook.
