Reactions as police claim Kano explosion caused by gas not bomb

The Kano State Commissioner of Police, Sama’ila Dikko, has debunked reports of bomb blast in Kano metropolise.

He said it was a gas cylinder that exploded in Sabon Gari area of Kano State this morning and not bomb as widely speculated.

The CP also confirmed that at least 4 have been killed in the explosion which injured a number of others in the early hours of Tuesday, in Kano.

According to the CP, there was a gas cylinder used by a welder in the area which exploded and damaged the building of the nearby school, causing the tragedy.
