The Dangote Group has released an official statement concerning the fire incident at its refinery on Wednesday.
According to the statement, the fire was minor and has been successfully contained.
“On Wednesday, June 26th, a minor fire occurred at our effluent treatment plant (ETP). The situation was swiftly brought under control,” the statement said. “There is no cause for alarm. The refinery continues to operate normally, and no injuries or harm to our staff have been reported.”
Report indicated that explosions were heard following the fire outbreak at the refinery located in the Ibeju-Lekki area of Lagos State.
