Reggaeton singer El Taiger dies at 37, a week after being shot in the head

Popular reggaeton artist El Taiger has passed away at the age of 37, just one week after being shot in the head.

His family confirmed his death in a statement shared on the singer’s Instagram stories on Thursday, October 10, 2024.

“On October 3, shortly after 7 a.m., officers responded to NW 17th St. and 10 Ave, where they found El Taiger shot in the head inside a black Mercedes SUV. He was rushed to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center.”

The statement continued, “He underwent surgery and was placed on life support, but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries. From the moment of his arrival, the medical team at Jackson Memorial worked tirelessly to save him.”

“Sadly, this afternoon, El Taiger was pronounced dead. He is now reunited with his beloved mother in heaven. While this news is both shocking and heartbreaking, we ask fans to honor his memory by celebrating the joy he brought to many.”
