South African artist Tyla, also known as Tyla Laura Seethal, has put an end to the ongoing speculations about her romantic involvement with Nigerian Afrobeats sensation, Rema.
Tyla addressed these rumors in the latest episode of the We Need To Talk podcast, where she firmly asserted that Rema is simply a “friend.”
She explained that the viral image of them holding hands, which fueled the dating rumors, was captured after she attended one of Rema’s concerts.
“We [Rema and I] are just friends. I went to his show and he happened to hold my hand. And obviously, people will always interpret it the way they do.
“He is not my boyfriend. He’s not my man.”
It’s worth noting that Tyla previously mentioned Rema during an interview with Apple Music, expressing her desire to have him as her celebrity prom date.
