President Bola Tinubu has directed all ministers in his cabinet to immediately provide detailed accounts of their performance in office.
This directive was revealed by the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, during a press conference in Abuja on Tuesday.
Idris explained that the purpose of the directive is to give Nigerians the opportunity to assess the achievements of the administration and to ask critical questions about governance.
“The briefing by ministers will enable Nigerians to know what the government has done and to engage constructively,” Idris stated.
It will be recalled that Tinubu had required all ministers to sign performance guidelines as a condition before their swearing-in.
Further details on the directive are expected soon.
