Residents of Naka town, the headquarters of Gwer West Local Government Area of Benue State, on Monday, took to the street to protest the perennial attacks on the local government by suspected militia Fulani herdsmen.
The development came after no fewer than eleven persons were killed by suspected militia herdsmen in Tse amgbem village, close to Naka.
IDOMA VOICE reports that some suspected militia herdsmen in the early hours of Monday attacked Tse Amgbem village in Gwer West and killed scores with several others sustaining various degrees of injuries, and hundreds of residents displayed.
The protesters were later addressed by Ter Tyoshin, HRH Chief Daniel Ayua Abomtse who promised to take their grievances to the relevant authorities.
