Revwit launches AI-powered sales assistant for African B2B teams

In Africa’s growing B2B sales ecosystem where spreadsheets still dominate over dedicated CRM platforms a new startup is emerging with a solution tailored to the continent’s unique needs. Enter Revwit, an AI-powered sales assistant built specifically for African businesses.

Founded by Chinedu Ossai, Dayo Adekanmbi, and Damilola Aluede alumni of Interswitch, Bolt, Microsoft, and the London Stock Exchange Group Revwit aims to solve a common pain point: most B2B sales tools were built for Western markets and fail to meet the realities of African teams.

“If you’ve ever tried running a B2B sales team in Africa using spreadsheets or traditional CRMs, you already know the pain,” said CEO Chinedu Ossai. “They weren’t built for how we sell, how our teams work, or the challenges we face.”

While Gifty AI has been dubbed Africa’s first AI sales assistant, Ossai says Revwit is the only one focused on supporting B2B teams through the full sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure without needing consultants or technical expertise.

Backed by venture capital firm Norrsken and Moses Sule, former VP at Flutterwave, the Revwit team brings firsthand experience in enterprise sales. Ossai and Aluede have collectively closed over $10 million in deals and say the biggest barrier for African teams isn’t talent it’s tools that don’t fit their context.

Unlike CRMs like Salesforce or Zoho, which often require long onboarding periods and dollar-based subscriptions, Revwit is lightweight, intuitive, and priced in local currencies. It launched its MVP in November 2024 and already supports the Nigerian naira, with plans to add Kenya’s shilling (KES), South Africa’s rand (ZAR), and Ghana’s cedi (GHS).

Revwit functions more like an AI-powered assistant than a traditional CRM. After sign-up, it automatically pulls contacts and sales conversations from email, calendar invites, and web forms, organizing them into a pipeline. The platform also enriches leads with data from a global database of 200 million contacts and 20 million companies.

“We used to track deals in spreadsheets, but switching to Revwit has improved pipeline management,” said Nadine, Pre-Sales Manager at Woodcore, one of the early testers. “Now we have full visibility and better insight.”

Another early user, Placidcode CEO Napa Onwusah, said Revwit helped automate lead updates and allowed his team to focus more on customers.

Beyond automation, the platform enables personalized bulk emails helping reps maintain relevance in outreach without crafting messages from scratch each time. Features like pipeline tracking, integrations, and automated data capture aim to reduce tool sprawl and customer acquisition costs (CAC).

Security is also a priority, with full compliance with NDPR and GDPR standards.

“We didn’t build Revwit just because it’s a business opportunity,” said co-founder Damilola Aluede. “We built it because we’ve led teams, chased deals, and wished there was something simpler.”

With daily product updates and plans to deepen automation and expand integration options, the Revwit team hopes to empower African sales professionals with tools that work efficiently, locally, and without friction.
