Richard Tallen, son of former Minister Pauline Tallen, dies at 42

Richard Tallen, the only son of Pauline Tallen, former Minister of Women Affairs, has passed away. According to a statement released by the family on Sunday, Richard died on Saturday after being hospitalized at Cedar Crest Hospital in Abuja. He was 42 years old.

The cause of his death has not been officially confirmed, but reports indicate that Richard had been placed on oxygen in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU) on Friday night, before his passing.

Confirming the sad news, the Vom Old Boys’ Association (VOBA), his alma mater, posted a tribute on Facebook. The association stated that Richard passed away in Abuja after a brief illness.

“On a very sad note, we regret to announce the sudden passing of our Member, Mr. Richard Adamu Tallen,” the association wrote. “He passed on Saturday, October 5th, in Abuja, after a brief illness, leaving behind his beloved family, including his wife and children. Burial arrangements will be announced by the family.”

Richard, a graduate of computer science from a university in the United States, is survived by his wife and three children.
