Robbers attack Access, Union Bank in Anyingba, Kogi

On Thursday, a gang of notorious armed robbers carried out attacks on two commercial banks in Anyingba, located in the Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State.

Eyewitnesses reported that the incident involved sporadic shootings, targeting multiple banks, including Union Bank and Access Bank, during the robbery.

Security operatives promptly responded, engaging the criminals in a fierce exchange of gunfire. Residents described the chaotic scene, with heavy gunfire and explosions around the commercial banks, prompting people to scramble for safety.

At the time of filing this report, attempts to obtain an official statement from the State Command of the Police Force proved unsuccessful.
