At 39 years old, the Portuguese forward, Cristiano Ronaldo showcased his scoring prowess once again, netting twice in Al-Nassr’s 4-2 victory over Al-Ittihad to reach a total of 35 goals. This achievement surpassed Abderrazak Hamdallah’s previous record of 34 goals in the 2018-19 season, albeit Hamdallah achieved his tally in four fewer matches while playing for the same club, Al-Nassr.
Since joining Al-Nassr on a free transfer in January 2023, following his departure from Manchester United, Ronaldo has been on a prolific scoring spree, accumulating an impressive 64 goals in 69 appearances across all competitions.
Despite Ronaldo’s individual success, Al-Nassr finished as runners-up in the league for the second consecutive season, trailing behind champions Al-Hilal by 14 points but comfortably ahead of third-placed Al-Ahli by 17 points.
Ronaldo’s remarkable career spans over 22 years, during which he has represented esteemed clubs such as Sporting Lisbon, Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus. Furthermore, he holds the men’s record for international goals, having scored 128 goals in 206 appearances for Portugal.
