Rooney tells Ten Hag to bench Ronaldo

Manchester United legend and C.Ronaldo’s teammate a few years back, Wayne Rooney has advised Erik Ten Hag to drop C.Ronaldo from the team.

In a bid to ensure Manchester United’s continuous rise in the league, Rooney has offered some advice to the coach of the club.

He said  ”There is so much negativity at the club and it would not help them at all when it comes to playing matches against major opponents.

”Therefore, it is necessary to take out any factors that can increase negativity at the club”.

Rooney stressed further that Eric Ten  Hag must do whatever is needed to rejuvenate the energy of the team. He must do it even if it means not letting Cristiano Ronaldo play in the upcoming games.

According to Wayne Rooney, Cristiano Ronaldo seemed unfit when the reds played against Brentford and lost by 4-0.

Meanwhile, In the two games that Eric Ten Hag benched Ronaldo and Maguire, they won two straight games against Liverpool and Southampton.

Manchester United is now placed 7th on the English Premier League Table.
