The death has been announced of medical doctor Anweh Damian.
Dr. Damian died of COVID-19 complications in Benue state.
Anweh Damian, member of the Medical and Dental Consultants Association of Nigeria (MDCAN), Federal Medical Center (FMC) in Makurdi, Benue state, died on Friday, Dec 18.
MDCAN announced his death in a statement signed by A.A. Uche, MDCAN secretary, FMC Makurdi, on Monday, Dec 21.
The statement reads: “It is with a heavy heart but total submission to God that we the members of MDCAN FMC Makurdi regret to announce the death of Dr Anweh Damian, consultant Family Physician. The sad event occurred on Friday 18th December 2020 following covid 19 complications. We pray that Almighty God will grant him eternal rest,”
Dr Uche said Damian was a special grade one consultant and consultant family physician at the Federal Medical Centre.
Until his death, he was president-elect Rotary club of Makurdi.
