The death has been announced of a young-Idoma born member of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, Victor Ayegba.
Young Ayegba, a graduate of Public Administration at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, passed on yesterday, sources told IDOMA VOICE.
The real cause of his demise is still unknown at the time of this report.
A former course mate, Ifeanyi Okonkwo, described him as a strong-willed personality.
He wrote, “I got the shocking news of your sudden demise late this night Bro. It’s unbelievable!!! What a world? I’ve been on my bed just wondering why some ugly things happen to good people. It’s just too soon for you to have gone bro!….just too soon!!!
“You played crucial role in the 2015/2016 Faculty of ASA) election that saw me through as the Secretary General.
“You served as my Agent for that election. You fought alongside others and that earned us the reality of our victory. Bro! My political history in ABU Zaria can never be complete without mentioning your name. I was still thinking that we’ve got much to do together in the nearest future, but, death came calling.
“Rest in perfect peace bro. I pray that God grant your immediate family the fortitude to bear this great loss.”
His ex-secondary school mate, Viceroy Marquez, recalled their past thus:
“Laying down here remembering our days together in secondary school. You were more like my closest friend till university separated us n we lost touch, though we were still friends on this platform, de last time we spoke, u were so happy n laughing all through, u told me u finally made it to university n you were now in one of de happening universities in Nigeria (ABU Zaria).
“Had to reactivate my account this evening to confirm the sad news, made calls n no one could say anything nice.
“My Heart is so heavy, feels so terrible to know someone all your life then suddenly hear that person is dead.”
