Residents of Sagwari Layout Estate in Dutse, Abuja, are living in palpable fear following the gruesome turn of events after the recent abduction of ten individuals by unidentified gunmen. The situation escalated dramatically as reports confirm that the kidnappers have cold-bloodedly killed three of their captives, sending shockwaves through the community.
The daring attackers, armed with highly sophisticated weapons, had brazenly infiltrated the estate on January 7, abducting at least ten residents. The situation took a darker turn as it was revealed on Monday that the assailants had executed three of the hostages, sending a chilling warning to their families who were negotiating the ransom.
Initially demanding N60 million per person, the kidnappers have reportedly escalated their demands to a staggering N100 million per victim, bringing the total ransom amount to an alarming N700 million. Sources suggest that the gruesome act of killing three victims was a result of perceived delays in meeting the earlier ransom demand.
