Arsenal winger, Bukayo Saka has been pulled out from the England national squad due to worries about his fitness.
Gareth Southgate, England’s manager, had initially included Saka for the friendly against Australia and the crucial Euros qualifier against Italy.
However, after comprehensive medical assessments conducted by the England medical team, it was concluded that Saka was not in an optimal condition to participate in the Three Lions’ matches.
His spot, however, will remain vacant, as Southgate has opted not to bring in a replacement for him in the squad.
It’s worth noting that Arsenal’s manager, Mikel Arteta, had expressed concerns about Saka’s fitness.
The 22-year-old winger has been grappling with a series of injuries, including thigh, Achilles, and hamstring issues, in recent weeks.
