Salah, Saka, others up for EPL player, manager of the season award

Mohamed Salah, Bukayo Saka and Kevin De Bruyne are among five nominees for the EA Sports Premier League Player of the Season award for 2021/22.

The nominees for the award were unveiled on premierleague.com on Friday.

Others also shortlisted are West Ham’s Jarrod Bowen, Heung-Min Son of Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold, Southampton skipper James Ward-Prowse and Manchester City’s Joao Cancelo.

At just 20 years old, Saka has led the charge for an Arsenal team chasing a top-four finish for the first time since 2015/16.

Saka has 11 goals, six assists and has shown great character to bounce back after suffering penalty-shootout heartbreak in last summer’s UEFA European Championship final.

Salah, the 2017/18 EA SPORTS Player of the Season, is in contention again after yet another stunning campaign.
