Sao Tome and Principe have unveiled their 21-man squad for the upcoming 2023 Africa Cup of Nations clash against Nigeria’s Super Eagles.
This anticipated face-off is scheduled to take place at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on Sunday, September 10.
The selected squad comprises three goalkeepers, seven defenders, six midfielders, and six forwards.
The Patriots face an uphill battle in their bid to secure a spot in the competition. Adriano Eusebio’s team has struggled in the group stage, managing only one draw and suffering five defeats. Their previous encounter with the Super Eagles in November saw them on the wrong end of a 10-0 defeat.
