Plans by some persons to stage a protest in Otukpo town, over the canceled planned installation of one Bala Bello Muhammad as Sarduana Otukpo, has come to the attention of the Executive Chairman of Otukpo Local Government, Rt. Hon. George Alli.
The Chairman equally noticed that the said planned protest is being put together by some youths, backed by some mischief makers who are hellbent on breaching the peace which is currently being enjoyed in Otukpo by residents.
Hon. Alli wonder why these youths will now wake up to protest over a matter which the Deputy Governor, His Excellency, Engr. Benson Abounu has duely addressed since five days ago and had been put to rest. The installation was scheduled for Wednesday, January 6th, 2021 but was canceled. As such it is absolutely needles for anybody to organize any protest over a rested matter.
The Otukpo Council Boss warned those behind the plot to halt it in their own best interest. He went further to say that the Council will consider anyone found carrying out such activity as a criminal and will be treated as such.
Hon. Alli called on parents to warn their children and urged all law abiding residents of Otukpo to go about their normal business without fear of any attacks or molestation.
