Score killed as gunmen attack estate in Katsina

Tragedy struck in the Kankia Local Government Area of Katsina State as gunmen attacked a Low-Cost residential estate near the Kankia General Hospital, resulting in the death of a man on Saturday night.

According to Channels Television, the victim, identified as Alhaji Ibrahim Baraya Solo, was shot and killed when he attempted to confront the gunmen, who arrived at the scene on motorcycles.

An eyewitness who spoke to Channels Television via a telephone call reported that the assailants stormed the estate on motorcycles, firing shots indiscriminately, and leaving Alhaji Ibrahim Baraya Solo in a pool of blood.

The police spokesman in the State, ASP Abubakar Aliyu, confirmed the tragic incident to Channels Television on Sunday, assuring that a thorough investigation has been initiated to apprehend the perpetrators and bring them to justice.
