Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs sent to jail ahead of sex crime trial

US Magistrate Judge Robyn Tarnofsky has ordered that renowned American rapper Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs be held in jail while awaiting his federal sex trafficking trial.

According to DAILY POST, Combs faces charges of federal sex trafficking and racketeering. On Tuesday, the judge denied bail after Combs pleaded not guilty.

The denial followed a 14-page federal indictment accusing Combs of using his extensive business empire to exploit, threaten, and traffic women to satisfy his sexual desires and safeguard his reputation.

Federal prosecutors allege that Combs, with the assistance of his Combs Enterprise associates, operated an enterprise involved in sex trafficking, arson, forced labor, and kidnapping, among other crimes.

Two of the three charges carry a maximum sentence of life in prison. Prosecutors have requested that Combs remain jailed until the trial. Meanwhile, his legal team has requested his release on a $50 million bond with home detention and electronic monitoring.
