Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, US rapper, arrested in New York
Renowned American musician Sean Combs, better known as Diddy, was arrested in New York on Monday night. Federal agents apprehended him at a Manhattan hotel following a grand jury indictment.
Diddy’s attorney, Marc Agnifilo, has criticized the U.S. Attorney’s Office for pursuing what he deems an unjust prosecution. Agnifilo emphasized that the singer had willingly traveled to New York in anticipation of the charges.
“We are disheartened by the decision to pursue what we believe to be an unjust prosecution of Mr. Combs by the U.S. Attorney’s Office,” Agnifilo stated.
“Sean Combs is a music icon, a devoted family man, a self-made entrepreneur, and a dedicated philanthropist who has spent over 30 years building an empire and supporting the Black community. While he is not without flaws, he is not a criminal. Mr. Combs has cooperated fully with this investigation and moved to New York a week ago in anticipation of these charges.
“His actions reflect those of an innocent man, and he looks forward to clearing his name in court,” he added.
According to DAILY POST, Diddy faces multiple sexual assault charges.
