Security in Nigeria will be worse under new Service Chiefs – Nnamdi Kanu

Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has predicted that security situation will go from bad to worse under new service chiefs.

Acording to the IPOB leader, nobody should expect improvement in the security sector under the new security chiefs because they won’t make any diffrnce.

Kanu was reacting to the appointment new security chiefs on Tuesday.

He tweeted, “It will surely get worse because your new Service Chiefs will soon prove unwilling & unable to stop BokoHaram, herdsmen & ISWAP while at the same time tolerating the extrajudicial killing of UNARMED activists in the South, especially in Southeast, as in the ongoing #OrluMassacre.”

President Buhari on Tuesday accepted the resignation of former Service Chiefs; the Chief of Defence Staff, General Abayomi Olonisakin; Chief of Army Staff, Lt-Gen. Tukur Buratai; Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Ibok Ekwe Ibas; and Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, and appointed new their replacements.

The new Service Chiefs as follow; Major-General Leo Irabor, Chief of Defence Staff; Major-General I. Attahiru, Chief of Army Staff; Rear Admiral A.Z Gambo, Chief of Naval Staff; and Air-Vice Marshal I.O Amao, Chief of Air Staff.
