Sen. Abba Moro: A never failed keeper of promises (Opinion)

Throughout the period of electioneering campaign prior to the 2019 General elections, the Senator representing the good people of the Benue South Senatorial District, Distinguished Sen Abba Moro was explicit in his promises to the people.During that period,the statement that was always reverberating to every nook and cranny of the Benue South anytime he would mount a stage to address his people in his usual oratory speech was:”If am voted as the senator representing you at the Red Chamber of the National Assembly, I will be there for you all the time”,he said.

Since the inauguration of the 9th National Assembly on the 11th June,2019, the #OgigoMebeK’Idoma as he is popularly called has so far lived up to his promises of standing by his people all times.He has been restless,moving from one place to another, either on philanthropic or condolence visit,commissioning of projects, developmental meetings or award ceremonies. Hardly could Abba sleep either in his Abuja,Makurdi,Otukpo or Ugbokolo house for two consecutive days.

The latest of his restlessness is taking place throughout this week.He was in Makurdi on Sunday and Monday attending an award ceremony organised by Profile Magazine and paying a philanthropic visit to Tivid Orphanage home respectively.

The same monday, Sen Abba went to Otukpo on condolence visit and then returned to Abuja on Independence day, Tuesday 1st October, 2019 to resume his legislative duties on Wednesday till Friday.

Today, Saturday, 5th October,2019 again,here is Comrade Abba Moro on condolence visit to Agila, Ado local government to give late Chief Onazi Aboh a last respect.

It could be recalled that few days ago,precisely, on Friday, 27th September, 2019, Sen Abba Moro was at the famous Catholic Apparition Centre Aokpe with the Benue State Gov,His Excellency Samuel Ortom, attending a Thanksgiving Mass and Commissioning two blocks of three classrooms each and a motorized borehole at St.Patrick Primary School Aokpe,Okpokwu LGA.

For Abba Moro, its a promise kept so far.
