Sen. Abba Moro reacts to land dispute crisis between Otukpo, Gwer East communities

The Senator representing the good people of Benue South Senatorial District, Comrade-Senator Abba Moro, condemns, in strong terms, the crisis between the Tiv community of Taraku, in Gwer East LGA, and Otukpo-Icho community, in Otukpo LGA, all of Benue State.

The crisis, which is over the ownership of a popular market in Otukpo, has claimed some lives and properties.

Senator Moro expresses displeasure over the crisis and pleads with the warring parties to sheath their swords and explore the available means of dispute resolution and not take the law into their hands.

The Senator urges Nigerian security agencies and other relevant authorities to act timely to arrest the ugly situation and avert further damages.
