The Red Chamber is scheduled to commence plenary promptly at 1 pm to deliberate on and approve the budget. Initially adjourned till Friday, December 29, the Senate later rescheduled the session to Saturday, December 30, at 10 am, as announced by the Clerk to the Senate, Chinedu Akubueze.
In a recent statement to the press on Saturday morning, Akabueze clarified that the plenary session has been rescheduled to commence at 1 pm. The leadership of the National Assembly has reiterated its commitment to passing the 2024 budget before the close of 2023, aiming to adhere to the Federal Government’s January–December budget cycle policy.
