senator Abba Moro distributes medical items to Benue South community
In continuation of his efforts to better the lives of the people of his Constituents, the Senator representing the good people of Benue South Senatorial District, Senator Comrade Abba Moro, today, Friday, 3rd March, 2020, distributed medical equipments in Agatu LGA, Benue State.
The items, which came at the right time, considering the COVID-19 pandemic in the country, were received by the Caretaker Chairman, Hon. Aliu Halilu, and other top Government and Medical Officials of the LG.
While making the presentation, the representatives of the Senator, Jennifer Oga-Uhia and
Gloria Owoicho, stated that they were in Agatu on the directive of the Senator, to deliver the items to the LG, being his modest contribution to the development of primary health care in the LGA.
The Senator, through the aides, said he was concerned about the well-being of every of his constituents in Agatu LG, and would always give them due attention, especially as they have been victims of external and internal crises, and floods. He said he would continue to do his best, with the help of God, to leave no stone unturned in making Benue South Senatorial District better. He urged the people to make good use of the items for their overall benefits, promising that he would continue to influence good projects and programmes to the Senatorial District.
Responding, the Caretaker Chairman, Hon. Aliu, expressed profound gratitude and appreciation to Senator Abba Moro for the items and his genuine love for the people of the LGA and Benue South generally. According to him, the gesture was the first of its kind, as nothing like that had ever been extended to the people of Agatu before. He said they were happy to have Senator Abba Moro as their Senator. His words; “We have never seen anything like this before. We are happy that Senator Abba Moro is the one representing us in the Senate. We are proud of him.”
The items donated include; hospital beds, sterilizers, refrigerators, artery forceps, dissecting forceps, urinary stainless steel, generating sets, motorcycles, blood lancets, filing cabinets, baby cots, sterilizing drums, tables, autoclaves, stethoscopes, diagnostic set, dressing scissors, drip stands, standing fans, medical cups, fire extinguishers, bowls with stand, and many more too numerous to mention.
The 8 Council Wards that benefited from the items include Enugba, Obagaji, Odugbeho, Ogwule Kaduna, Ogwule Ogbaulu, Okokolo, Oshugbudu and Usha.
