The Senator representing Benue South Senatorial District, Distinguished Senator Abba Patrick Moro, has commenced training of some of his constituents to be self reliant.
The training, which is being done in collaboration with Boarder Communities Development Agency and Chsing Valley Agri Resources Limited at Leach Hotel, Otukpo, has as its focal point, Digital Skills acquisition.
While declaring the training open, Senator Moro who was represented by his Otukpo Liaison Officer, Samuel Inalegwu Ujah, disclosed that candidates for the training were carefully selected from all the Nine LGAs in the Senatorial District on merit, devoid of partisan inclinations as, according to him, Senator Moro belongs to all.
His words, “If you look round in this hall, you will see members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), All Progressives Congress (APC), Social Democratic Party (SDP), and other political parties. Senator Moro has proven, once again, to be a Senator for all, irrespective of your political party.’
The Senator urged the participants to take advantage of the training and listen attentively to what would be thought them as, according to him, ‘Knowledge is power’.
He disclosed that at the end of the three-day training, new Laptops would be distributed free of charge to all the participants to enable them ply their trade.
He promised to make the training a regular event so that more members of his constituents could benefit from it.
