Senator Abba Moro reacts as Idoma-born Prof Ujah emerges NMA President

The Senator Representing the good people of Benue South Senatorial District at the Upper Legislative Chamber of the National Assembly, Comrade Abba Moro, felicitates with Prof Innocent Ujah on his election as President, Nigeria Medical Association (NMA).

Senator Moro lauds the Association on the peaceful conduct of the election at its 60th Annual General Conference and Delegates Meeting held online on Saturday, 30th May, 2020, which produced Prof Ujah as its President.

The Lawmaker believes that Ujah, a professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, who served as Director-General of the Nigerian Institute of Medical Research, NIMR, Yaba Lagos, will bring to bear his wealth of experience to shape the nation’s health sector.

He’s not surprised because the erudite Professor has proved his mettle as NIMR DG and other sensitive positions he had held before now.

Senator Moro assures the new NMA boss, who doubles as Vice Chancellor, Federal University of Health Sciences, Otukpo, of his willingness and readiness to partner with NMA and other Stakeholders in the Health Care Sector on how to make the Sector better, especially for the good people of Benue South Senatorial District.

He prays God to give him the needed wisdom to lead the renowned association well and perfectly.

Ameh Godwin-Azikiwe,
SA (P & E) to the Senator.
