Senator Abba Moro receives Ochetoha K’idoma and movement for Igede advancement

The senator representing Benue South Senatorial District and Senate Minority Leader, Comrade Abba Patrick Moro PhD on Wednesday received in audience Ochetoha K’Idoma Worldwide (Youth wing) and Movement For Igede Advancement in his National Assembly office.

The two groups led by Comr. Obande Gideon and Prof. Ode Ojowu respectively were in the senator’s office to congratulate him on his re-election, court victories and elevation to the position of Senate Minority Leader.

Comr. Obande, while making his presentation on behalf of Ochetoha K’Idoma said Senator Moro had played his roles in youth development in Benue South and Nigeria at large and deserves commendation from everyone. He said they came to congratulate him on his various victories and identify with him. 

In recognition of his contributions to youths development in Benue South and Nigeria at large, Senator Moro was decorated with a medal and appointed the Patron of the group.

The Movement For Igede Advancement, on their part said they also came to congratulate the Minority Leader and thank him for his laudable projects in Igedeland. 

In their address presented by the Chairman, Dr. Jonah Ogbaji, the group said they came to identify with the senator’s purposeful leadership and extend the appreciation of the entire Igede nation for all he has done and still doing to advance the frontiers of development in the land.

Dr. Ogbaji said Senator Moro’s victory in the last election was a testament of his acceptability by both the old and young people of Benue South. He said Igede people demonstrated their love for the Senator and voted him massively as they are satisfied with his representation.

They commended the senator for always fighting to ensure peace in Igedeland and said they had no scintilla of doubt that he will continue to justify the huge confidence reposed in him by churning out legislative agenda, policies and program that will continue to put Igedeland, Benue South, Benue State and Nigeria at large in the pedestal of accelerated socioeconomic development.

Senator Moro, in his separate responses to the two groups thanked them for coming to identify with him. He said he accepted the Patronship of Ochetoha K’Idoma Worldwide (Youth wing) because of his love for youths. He said he would continue to contribute his quota to youth development and show the way. He wished them well.

To The Movement For Igede Advancement, Senator Moro said he was happy to have them again in his office. He said he had a long-standing relationship with the Igedes and assured that he would always protect their interests and contribute massively to the sociopolitical development of their land. He thanked them for the massive votes given to him in the last election and said the confidence reposed in him would not be betrayed.

The Senator said he would do whatever is doable for Igede nation and the entire Benue South without hesitation as he is in office to serve and not for any person gain.
